Xperia XZ Premium officially named “Best New Smartphone at MWC 2017”

The most watched prize at the Gobal mobile awards at MWC has been won by Sony’s new flagship, Xperia XZ Premium for the ‘Best new smartphone’ for their latest smartphone announced during MWC. The Glomo Award is the latest of 30 accolades (and counting) received while attending Mobile World Congress 2017 for Sony Mobile’s innovation flagship, with media recognition including: UK Blog Awards “Best Innovation”, Tech Radar’s “Reader’s Choice” & “Best Smartphone” and Wired’s “Coolest of MWC”.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium was unveiled at MWC 2017 along with the Xperia XZs as a flagship device. The XZ premium's build up won the attention of the judges with Snapdragon 835 chipset, Motion Eye camera capable of 960fps Super slow motion video capture, 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch 4K screen with HDR support and Triluminos display. Gorilla Glass 5 that covers the whole phone, world first IP68 certification for water and dust, Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, a 3,230mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0, USB Type-C and a fingerprint scanner.
