HTC annouced its latest flagship, HTC U11, keeping the same new "liquid design" concept from U Ultra and U Play.
The phone is built at 5.5" Super LCD5 with 1,440 x 2,560px resolution and Gorilla Glass 5. Processor of course has to be non other than lastest Snapdragon 835. HTC is promising strong battery life with a cell that recharges quickly – a day’s life from a half-hour charge using the fast charging plug. What is also going to be interesting here is HTC has added both Amazon’s Alexa and Google 's Assistant together, though the former will be available in the UK, US and Germany first.
There’s no dual camera on the back of the HTC U11, instead offering a 12MP sensor on the rear and 16MP option for the front. The U 11 has been awarded the best DxOMark score ever achieved by a smartphone (90). Samsung S8 is at a high of 88. We have really got to see the real results.
The biggest draw of them all, HTC believes that its new phone, the U11, will introduce the next breakthrough in interaction: squeeze.
The left- and right-hand sides of the phone are pressure-sensitive, meaning you can squeeze them to register an input. It uses eight pressure gauges, four on each side of the phone, to let you register an input. So, for instance, when you’ve launched Google Maps and wish to zoom into particular road, you can just squeeze it to trigger the zoom.
It comes in five colours including Sapphire Blue, Amazing Silver, Brilliant Black and Ice White. Later in the year there will be a Solar Red version.
