It has become official. Samsung has sent invitations to the media to attend the upcoming Samsung’s Press event in Barcelona where the announcement of its newest flagship: Samsung Galaxy S9 will be made.
The invitation itself shows a number 9 and the words: “The Camera. Reimagined”. With that we can expect a great improvement in Samsung’s camera.
The S9 series phones are expected to look similar to their S8 predecessors; 18:5:9 Infinity displays and even thinner bezels. The new design has the fingerprint scanner is located in the center of the back just below the camera sensors. What is known is that only the larger S9+ model will have a dual camera.
Leaks has unveiled the possibility of higher frame rate in slow motion on the Galaxy S9 i.e. 480 fps @ 1080p. We can also anticipate a bump in performance and a slightly faster wireless charging. The 15W fast-charging model will remain though.
The S9 series is going to open for pre-orders the day after the event, on the February 26.
