4-inch Apple iPhone 5se to be powered by A9 chip, come in 64GB version?
A couple of days back, new information revealed that the alleged 4-inch Apple iPhone will be called the iPhone 5se. Just yesterday, an alleged picture of the new iPhone model together with an Apple iPhone 5 was leaked. Today, we bring you more details about the upcoming device.
New rumors indicate that the iPhone 5se will be powered by the powerful A9 chipset and M9 co-processor – similar to what is found in the Apple iPhone 6s. Despite the fact that earlier prototypes of the said handset are powered by the slightly older A8 and M8 chips, Apple decided that it does not want the iPhone 5se to be two generations behind in terms of its specs sheet. This is what’s bound to happen when the Apple iPhone 7 is released with the A10 and M10 under its hood.
The iPhone 5se is also expected to come with the Always-on Siri feature. Looking back, the option to activate Apple’s virtual personal assistant by saying “Hey Siri” to an unplugged iPhone was added to the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s plus this year. Before that, users of the iPhone still need to call out for Siri on models of the handset running iOS 8 or higher while plugged into an outlet.
In terms of storage capacity, the new 4-inch model of the iPhone will reportedly be offered in 16GB and 64GB variants. Additionally, the tech titan is rumored to hold an event to unveil the new iPhone model during the week of March 14. Furthermore, Apple is also expected to unveil a revision of the Apple Watch around the same time. The said Apple Watch revision will reportedly offer Face Time.
Finally, once Apple officially unveils the iPhone 7 during the fall, it is expected that the iPhone 5se will replace the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus in the lineup.
