5 best budget smartphones
Who says expensive flagship phones have to be an immediate need? They are joy to the eye and give a great usage experience. But there are so many cases when you are more than satisfied with a very well done budget model: a new phone for a kid who tends to break them every now and then, a second phone for some specific purposes, and many others. It’s quite easy to choose a spectacular flagman with the cash at hand. But when the budget is tight, you want to have a good comparison choice as well. Here’s our top budget phones list for you.
One Plus X
We would definitely say it’s #1 in our list. For that price it has spectacular features, such as 5-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 801 with 3GB of RAM – that is plenty of power for an average user. Camera specs are great: 13mp for the main one and 8mp front shooter. Storage is expandable so it’s not an issue, just boost it with a MicroSD card. The battery of 2525mAh is not nearly a disappointment as well.
Sony Xperia M4 Aqua
If you need a mid-range waterproof smartphone, this is it! It has IP68 waterproof technology which takes your worries of having it around water without damage away. Other spectacular facts about it are: the absolutely great 720p 5-inch screen and one of the best battery life you can find in a mid-ranger (2400mAh). Reasonable Snapdragon 615 combined with 2GB of RAM. And as no surprise, Sony is great with camera – 13mp main one and 5mp front one.
Motorola Moto G, 2015 edition
The new Moto G launched this July appears to be a lot more powerful and impressive than the last one. It boasts IPX 7 waterproofing – another anti water damage option you might like besides Sony. It has a 5-inch 720p screen, a Qualcomm 410 processor and 2470mAh battery. You can choose between 1 or 2 GB of RAM and 8 or 16GB of inbuilt storage that you can further expand via a MicroSD card.
HTC Desire 626
As we go down with pricing we get this smartphone, which has proven to be pretty well done even though with quite basic specifications. The model sports a 5-inch 720p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM. Camera wise it has 8mp for the main one and 5mp for the front shooter.
Nokia Lumia 735
This smartphone is cheap, cheerful and perfect for selfies with the 5mp front shooter. Another cool thing about it – the design is bright colors and will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. The 4.7-inch 720p screen looks particularly good, though the quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM sometimes strain compared to other budget smartphones when it comes to performance. You also have to be Windows OS lover – the device operates Windows Phone 8.1.
