Sony accidentally leaks Xperia E5 on Facebook
Just a couple of days after the 'Xperia E5' moniker leaked, Sony Mobile accidentally revealed its upcoming smartphone, the Xperia E5, via a post on its official Facebook page which has since been deleted. The company has revealed the first official render of the handset, showing off both the front as well as back of the device.
"Eager, effortless, and easy on the eye - it's everything a smartphone should be. Say hello to your savvy new sidekick, Xperia E5," read the caption accompanying the image. The Sony Xperia E5 features a design that's slightly different than that of the Xperia E4. As seen in the accidentally leaked image, the Xperia E5 sports a slightly less curved design with more angular corners. The bezels on the top and bottom of the screen are also a bit bigger.
In case you missed, the E5 from a couple of days ago effectively revealed that it's the Sony F3311 that was spotted at GFXBench last month. The benchmark listing had revealed the specs as MediaTek's MT6735 chipset, 4.6-inch 720p display, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage, suggesting an entry-level device.
